This is a recent barn find of a WWII drop tank that I was told came off of a P-47 Thunderbolt Fighter Plane. It is in original, as found condition with a lot of original paint. Still has the original fuel cap, belly shackles, inlets and outlets ect ect. Not sure of the gallon size but it is 76" long and 73" girth around the widest part. Lots of dings and dents probably more from storage over the last 80 years than from period use. Made of what I think is g...alvanized steel it has no rust and I see no cracks or holes. The dings and dents could probably be massaged out if desired. I would think this is a museum type piece but at the least it is one of the coolest conversation starters ever! Lets talk shipping, YES I will ship but it must be freighted due to the size and if shipped I will require an extra week or 10 days to make a crate and get it to the freight yard. I do charge $50 for the crate as well. It will be freighted from 45856 which is in NW Ohio if you want to contact UPS or FEDEX for a quote to ship. If you are the winning bidder, DO NOT PAY if it is your desire to ship as I will crate it, then get an actual cost to ship to your location. Once this is done I will send you an invoice to pay for the shipping as well as the cost of the tank and crate. Of course local pickup is free and I will deliver for $1 per loaded mile up to 200 miles from NW Ohio. This delivery cost must be paid prior to delivery. Starts at $500.00, which is a fraction of what others are trying to get for a less desirable shipped tank.
