This listing is for an extremely rare and highly collectable pair of wearable art jeans by Damien Hirst x Warhol Factory x Levi's collaborative. These are one of only 51 made in 2008. They were mostly pre-sold to collectors at their debut show at the Gagosian Gallery in New York. Some made it to retail outlets. This is your chance to own your very own Damien Hirst art piece at an affordable price, compared to his other artworks that go for millions.
The denim is black with with a bi...t of a shimmer to them. They are covered from head to toe in Swarovski cystals, their sparkle is almost blinding. Photos do not do them justice. They are waist size 28, inseam 32. They are skinny fit with a button fly and I believe meant to be unisex. Although, I think they were really made to be framed and hung more as art than really worn. But they are definitely very wearable. The crystals are very securely attached to the denim and all seem to be present. They are button fly and have Damien Hirst's signature colored dot print fabric lining the pockets. There is a certificate present that authenticates the jeans. Normally the certificate has a production number showing (in this case would be number X out of 51) but it looks like the area where the number would be is sewn in under the waist band. I do not want to jeopardize the integrity of these beauties so I have not attempted to try to get it out from under the waist band. So I am unsure what number out of 51 these are. I'm not sure why it's sewn like that. Perhaps an early pair they goofed on and realized they had sewn the number in? In any case, they are in excellent condition. No damage and they look unworn. I will mention they have a bit of an odd odor, but I think this might be from the adhesive used to attached the Swarovski crystals to the denim.
