Wow! Fantastic set of early marching band drums. The school these came from was founded in 1907. From the information I received, these drums date from the early 1930s. They include Ludwig (2 snares), Slinglander (5 snares), and the Bass is WFL (William F Ludwig). I do not know much about drums, but will do my best to describe their condition. All drums have their original skins. Two snare drums have tears in the skins. The rest are in good condition with some surface dirt.The bass dr...um is missing 3 claws, but all other hardware on all drums seems to be present. There is some paint chipping here and there, and one snare drum has an old crack by the name badge (see pic).Two of the snare drums have loose snare wires (stretched out). There is a box of shoulder straps and harnesses that includes 36 separate pieces, different uses, including one flag holder.I have no idea if the paint is original, but it sure is old! There are eight drums all together, 7 snares and 1 bass. Would love to keep them together as a set! These are incredible antique drums in very good condition for their age.
