Notes: Here's an uncommon Vintage Gold Plate Seiko King Quartz QHC804 5855-8010 Watch with Original Papers and KQ Buckle. Caliber 5855 was one of Seiko's better accuracy quartz movements at the time of production and is rated to +/- 10 seconds per month. Based on the caseback serial, this watch dates to September 1977. Original mineral crystal is pristine, free of cracks and scratches. Light patina on the luxurious gold dial just left of 12 o'clock. Due to age and moisture, there's oxidation and some plating loss on the case; most near the junction of the bezel, the edge of the lugs and the underside against the stainless steel caseback - the watch still looks great on the wrist. Light wear on the gold plated signed crown; all functions work and the hands change well. Since this is a compression loader, I don't have a movement pic; the battery was changed this month and the watch keeps good time; service/cleaning, though, recommended for all vintages. What's extra special here is the original manual, completed warranty card and the hard-to-find 15mm KQ signed buckle (a bit of degeneration on the buckle tongue). I've installed an 18mm vintage black leather strap; it is a bit worn near the holes but is wearable and allows for installation of the original buckle; you can find a replacement vintage strap to your liking. This King Quartz was one of the higher end quartz watches at the time or production - it's hard to find them with the original accessories - so don't miss out!
Given that this is a pre-owned watch, service history is unknown, water resistance is not guaranteed and warranty unavailable. Sold AS IS.
Shipping: Priority ConUS shipping is free. International shipping will be priced per USPS International Priority. Due to the continued challenges with buyer restrictions per eBay Global Shipping, I will list one fairly for all bidders. Questions welcome.
Easter Egg: a little known feature of this movement is when the crown is fully in, it can be turned to adjust the seconds. Anticlockwise turn makes the seconds jump an extra second while clockwise delays the watch by one second. Very neat!
