Villeroy & BochRouen Pattern - #15704 Dinner Plates
The actual Villeroy & Boch dinner plates you are bidding on are shown in the photos. They each measure 10 1/8" in diameter and are in very good antique condition without any chips, cracks, or repairs. One does have very slight discoloring along the left inner border (4th photo) which is visible using eBay magnifying tool. And ... consistent with age and use, there is slight fading as can be seen in the photos. Please note that any light areas or shadows in the photos are camera glare.
There is some debate on when the Rouen pattern was manufactured. It is my understanding that following the separation of the Saar region from the German Reich in 1920, as a result of the First World War, the factories there were no longer available to Villeroy & Boch.
