But overall style with richly cut and pierced surroundings of balance bridge, square baluster pillars, barrel with worm stopwork let to date it to 1760s approximately.
Inner case date mark isn't readable, but IC (with asterisk) case maker is identified as John Catt from Noble street, registered in 1766 (see "Watch case makers in Englandsee " by P. Priestley).
Outer ca...se is a little later, it's hallmarked in 1783.
Condition
Movement is running in every position, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The plain silver case appears to be in good condition.
Dial seems to be in ok condition, with some scratches, but seems to be free from hairlines.
Watch is solidly built.
Diameter of outer case is 51mm, height is 61mm.
Watch comes with old key.
