Incredible and rare huge Early Velmoss Roseville jardiniere in excellent unused condition ! This piece dates to app. 1918 and has a distinct Arts & Crafts or Mission aura. The amazing part is this 100 year + pottery is free of cracks, chips, repairs, flea bites, etc. In fact I see very few glaze pops or other firing imperfections, which was common. This fabulous piece is featured in the smaller size on page 226 of Warman's Roseville Pottery Identification & Price Guide. T...his impressive jardiniere measures 9" high, the inside opening is app. 9", the flat bottom is about 6 1/2". The bulbous center is app. 40" circumference, and weighs 10 pounds as is !! The book describes the colors as "dull green or tan blends with tall stylized leaves cloaking the vessels". This exceptional piece will be double boxed for safety.
