LOVELY 1919 Elgin 15J 16 Size FANCY Engraved Hunting Case J. Boss 20Yrs RUNS

Case Condition: This case has wonderful fancy engraved engine turned decorative designs all over the hunting lid and case back and still looks AWESOME for a 100 year old gold filled case!&...nbsp; I can’t find any brassing wear on this case but it does show some light wear and light surface scratches throughout and a few dings. The case has NOT been cleaned up or polished before the photos were taken. I am going to rate this case VERY GOOD PLUS overall cosmetic condition- it will really POP with some cosmetic detailing and careful polishing!!
Case Metal: This is a Keystone . Boss case that is marked 20 Years- a 20 Year Warranty against gold fill wear through back in the day!! 20 Years was the second thickest commonly seen gold fill layering- the highest usually seen being 25 Years.
Dial Condition: This dial is original porcelain and REALLY nice to look at- the only “wear” issues that I can find are really just routine periodic cleaning up issues- underneath the crystal there are tiny specks of dirt and dust here and there that need to be wiped / carefully blown away using a watchmaker’s bellows. The dial itself rates at least EXCELLENT overall cosmetic condition and once you clean the crap away from this dial and inside of the crystal it will likely be an obvious rating higher than that (to “near mint”)

Working / Non-Working: This watch does pendant wind and set the time smoothly and has run and kept time “right on” over my 22+ hours timekeeping test of the watch sitting here running on my desk. Please note that my timekeeping test procedures are very basic and can involve some human error- I am simply setting these old watches against my computer clock and then checking back later on- with no effort to coordinate the seconds hands on either to be precisely in unison at either reading.
Extras: You’re not likely to find a more NICELY preserved 100 years old pocketwatch than THIS one any time soon- please take a GOOD L@@K at all of the photos and you be the judge!! The DIAL on this watch is simple yet effective- modestly sized number hour markers but the porcelain dial itself is in BEAUTIFUL condition- I am under-rating it as “excellent” when all that needs to be done is the bezel removed and surface of the dial and inside of the crystal cleaned off- you don’t need to be a watchmaker to do that! I don’t see any hairlines on this wonderful looking dial. I have priced this watch to $ELL with a REASONABLE opening bid price and there is NO RESERVE!!!!Payment is due immediately upon purchase.
