This without question is one of the most beautiful sterling silver bangle patterns ever made.I carry and own Danecraft bangles which have remained in demand for decades for their beauty, but I rarely have seen a pattern like this one. Maybe my love for the beauty of nature and wildlife influences my level of apprecia...tion, but thats how I react to this bracelet. Also incredible is that these tiny figures appear to be hand carved. They can't be, but they sure have that level of artistic merit. Virtually every little sea life figure has significant detail: The whales, sharks and octopuses have eyes, the tortoise shells are sectioned, the seaweed has veins(!), etc. The photos show the creatures on all sides. Setting off the bracelet's beauty is its perfect tarnishing.
I have two (different sizes) that I will never let go of, yet I was a little hesitant to let this one go in the case of loss or damage of mine. I can see why there have been so few on the market; who would let one go? Also, they have to have been so time consuming to make that relatively few were made.
On the inside is written 925, 7.5, and a letter K in a circle which is probable the maker's hallmark. The bracelet weighs 18 grams, is almost a half inch wide or specifically 10mm, exactly, and is 2.25 inches in diameter, specifically 60mm which is quite small. To be sure of the fit, find and try on another bangle with that diameter. It would be helpful to have coconut oil handy for all your bangles with close fits.
As with most fine things we buy, condition is essential. This fine bracelet is in perfect condition with no visible manufacturing flaws. There also are no orange-red colors, just the bright silver sea creatures on a very dark oxidized background that accents the pattern wonderfully but polishing would make it bright and shiny if you really want that. However, even this pattern diminishes without tarnishing per photos I have seen online.
