Vintage 70s GUNNE SAX Teal Blue Floral Romantic Victorian Festival Maxi Dress 7

This is a genuine Gunne Sax maxi dress from the early 1970s. It is constructed of a semi-sheer 100% cotton Voile fabric with a beige/tan floral print on a Teal-ish or smoky blue background. Colors are still bright with very little fading. It has an empire waist and a corset style bust. Long "Leg O' Mutton" style sleeves have fitted cuffs that zip closed. It has a maxi length full skirt with a large ruffled hemline and a very impressive sweep. Dress closes via a hidden back zipper and h...as a wide self-tie fabric belt to tie in a bow at the back . The bust is adorned with a beautiful Ivory crocheted "lace". Two wide bands of matching crochet ribbon trim run vertically down the skirt front and accent the sleeve cuffs. Except for the sleeves, the dress is lined with an attached Acetate "slip". It does have a few minor issues, all of which could be easily repaired. I have priced it accordingly. The crochet trim on one of the cuffs is starting to fray and a section of this crochet trim is missing completely from one sizable section at the bottom of the skirt. This could be replaced with some comparable trim at a nominal cost. See my last two photos for detail. This dress is still pretty and very wearable despite these things and is perfect for the stage or your next Renaissance Festival. It is a Vintage Size 7. Be advised however, that vintage clothing tends to run small so please check the measurements I have provided above and compare them to something you already wear comfortably to ensure the best fit.
