A good period work of a beautiful society lady in the Art Deco style. Mayor painted nudes and ballerina studies- gallery prices can easily make over $1500 and the record auction price in 2008 was titled "Nu sur le Rivage" which sold for over $2000. A Paris based artist who's work is scarce, we have seen a few pieces housed in Montparnasse frames suggesting an association with this artist colony.
Age- c1950Size- 25.75 by 31.5 inches approx (655 x 800 mm) including frame, canvas approx 18 by 24 inchesMedium- Oils on canvas.
Frame- Quality wooden frame, some knocks, offered free with the painting.Condition- Generally very good, we would be happy to hang this as found. The odd very small paint chip in places (minor).
