Here you have a Wonderful ANTIQUE, C 1890, English Estate Chess Set believed by experts to be by F. H.  AYRES.  They are Boxwood & Ebony with the Original Mahogany Box and working key & lock. They are weighted and have nice felt. The boxwood pieces are excellent, some ebony piece have some base cracks which I'm told is typical. (otherwise excellent!) The king measures 4-1/4" tall. Don't miss out on this great charming set! NO RESERVE!
