Vintage Eisenberg gold-plated sterling “Dancer” brooch designed by Ruth Kamke in 1944. Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1. Stamped Eisenberg, STERLING, and a stone setter's mark of the number 4 in two places. Approximately 3 1/2" x 1 3/4". Slight loss to the enamel in places and some wear to the plating. One of the small clear rhinestones has fallen out but will be sent with the brooch. Eisenberg's early pie...ces were especially stunning. Definitely one of the best during a period when costume jewelry was often favored by those who could afford fine jewelry.
