LARGE 33" PHARMACIST "SHOW GLOBE" JARHUGE 3-Piece Apothecary Pharmacist DRUGSTORE SHOW GLOBE Stacking Bottle COMPLETE w/all SECTIONSStands almost 3 feet tall when the sections are stacked together and the largest section is around 9 1/2" in diameter....It's all here, including the scarce to find original hollow fillable glass stopper.No cracks ....the glass is unusually clear for this type of display piece. I have found a chip that should be noted....it is on the bottom... of the stopper of the top bottle.This is a Museum quality piece...the story behind this is really neat...they were placed in the front window sometimes with a gas lamp behind them to let people know that there was a Pharmacy and they also had another use...when there was a plague in the town they displayed red in the globes...when all was well they displayed green...pretty interesting if you read about them. This came from an old Drug Store in the UP of Michigan and was used in the late 1800's and into the early 1900's. Just a GREAT old show bottle in absolutely SUPER CONDITION which makes this even more EXTRAORDINARY as these show bottles were prone to damage during cleaning !!!!I will pack this piece empty of water...packed in two separate boxes for shipping.
