The tanker Boundbrook was a T2-SE-A1 tanker built under the U.S. Maritime Commission contract by Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company at Chester, Pennsylvania, during February and March, 1944. After her service as a navy oiler she was sold to Imperial Oil Shipping Company in 1947 and became the Imperial Edmonton—serving first on the Pacific, and then the Atlantic. In 1958 the St. Lawrence & Great Lakes Shipping Company bought her, and, as company founders the Norris family also owned the National Hockey League team the Detroit Red Wings, they renamed her Red Wing after she was rebuilt and lengthened at Port Weller Dry Docks in 1959-1960. She was laid up at Toronto in 1984, sold for scrap in 1986, and broken up at Kaohsiung in April 1987.
