Okay Kids, Here's the Holy Grail of Aurora Monster Kits, the Vintage ©1961 Frightening Lightning FRANKENSTEIN Glow in the Dark Monster AURORA Model Kit!!
Now, the BOX LID has some edge wear where a mouse nibbled on it, mostly on top edge, little bit on bottom corners (see pics). The BOTTOM BOX is extremely nice & sharp! NO Split Corners on LID or BOX.
The Model Kit has been removed from trees (Tree Pieces mostly gone) but other than that it appears to be COMPLETE e...xcept for 1 minor piece. This kit came with a complete Frankenstein in the regular plastic. Then, it also came with a few duplicate pieces in a special "Glow in the Dark" Plastic. Now, the "regular pieces" is missing the tiny "V-Shape Rope Belt" piece. I think that's all that's missing parts-wise.The Glow Pieces appear to be all here (11 total) & it has the "rope belt" glow piece. Hope this all makes sense, whew!
It also comes with the Instruction Sheet, but to be honest it's pretty rough, stained brown & chewed on the edges. But it is all there.
So, to recap: The KIT is COMPLETE except for a tiny "Regular Rope Piece", the INSTRUCTIONS are very rough, and the BOX LID has some minor issues on the edges.. but still great for display!
Overall this thing is mostly here & considering how extremely RARE this baby is then it's in nice shape for it's age & rarity. Plus, a Friend of mine told me this kit only pops up maybe once or twice a year, if even that much, it's extremely rare!
