RARE VINTAGE CITIZEN Astrodea 2nd Gen Moon Phase Sun Star Sidereal Blue Silver
Item History & Price
This is the 2nd edition Silver version released at the end of 1987 with 3 unique complications, sapphire glass, and stainless steel. ...The watch can tell you sidereal time (left-most complication) along with your local time. The moonphase at the top is also a day/night indicator - the disk rotates once a day with a bright backdrop (day time) and dark shaded backdrop (night time) while indicating the current moonphase (29.5 days to cycle). The star map at the bottom is the first edition of the famous Astrodea constellation disk! It includes a sun indicator (positioned along the "1-12" ring depending on the month), 22 bright stars (ex. Polaris), local sidereal time display, and astronomical twilight - it also rotates in true time in relation to the sky! The seconds hand has a crescent moon to balance the end. This is truly an amazing astronomy watch!
This is a very collectable watch that was directly imported from Japan. There are scratches on the watch bezel, case, band, etc. The band is also worn out (missing some gold accents - see pictures) The most noticeable damage is on the crown (which is chipped - see pictures). This can be replaced for cheap. The dial is pristine and amazingly sharp. The sapphire glass is also perfect! The watch case measures 32.5mm. There are no papers (will NOT ship with the Citizen Box). The watch battery has been professionally replaced November 23rd, 2018. All complications work perfectly!
Please ask me any questions or to request additional photos. If you want, I can set the moonphase and constellation disk to match your location!
