Very nice vintage carriage lamp. The black surface has some spots where the paint is missing from years of use. The back opens up to place a candle for light, There is a rectangular glass which measures approx. 4 1/4" X 3 3/4". on the side. There are several stains which can be rubbed off. There is a line on the right upper portion which may be a crack and doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece. The opposite side of the lantern has a bracket which is attached to the carriage. T...he front of the lantern has a round beveled glass which measures approx. 6 1/4" diameter. Overall the vintage lantern is in very good shape. The bottom portion looks like a handle. Measurement from the front to the back is approx. 8" and from the top to the bottom measures approx. 16", which includes the handle. Sold as is, as described and as pictured.
