American Girl Pleasant Co. Molly Doll, Orig. Box Meet & Acc
Item History & Price
This Molly doll is from the 1990s and comes in her white box, which is in very good condition for its age. The box is decorated with iridescent silhouettes of girls. The box comes with it...s original maroon-colored Pleasant Company cardboard band that fits around it. Molly comes with her first paperback book entitled "Meet Molly, " plus a number of brochures and papers, such as a note to parents and the"Hair Care" that originally came with her. All these items come from a smoke-free home, so you will not be greeted by the odor of Febreeze when you open the packaging.
Molly is very clean with no odd smells or soiled clothing. We have a pet cat, but he stays away from my dolls. I can't find any imperfections in either Molly's cloth or her vinyl. She has a huggable tan body, long neck strings, and vinyl head, arms, and legs. She holds a pose well and can stand alone "on her own two feet." She has thick brown bangs and braids. She has soft brown eyelashes, and her well-functioning sleep eyes are bluish-grey, with no sign of turning silver.
Molly will arrive wearing her original "Meet Outfit:" Argyle sweater, navy blue wool skirt, matching beret, rickrack trimmed dickey, bloomers, shoes, socks, and red hair ribbons. She also has her red faux leather shoulder bag containing her glasses in their felt glasses case, white cloth handkerchief with her embroidered name, and a genuine steel wheat penny dated 1943. (Molly dolls produced in later years have tiny toy pennies, but this Mollie has a real penny in her purse.) Around Molly's neck is a heart locket that opens to reveal her father's picture.
Please look at all the pictures, as they are part of Molly's description. If you have questions, please feel free to send me an eBay message. Because the postage is free, I am only able to ship this item to the lower contiguous 48 states.
