The item for sale is a copper lusterware pitcher made in Staffordshire, England by the Sunderland pottery during the early to mid nineteenth century. The pitcher has a metallic copper appearance but it is glazed pottery. The goblet features two decorative bands with pink luster mottled with white spots. The interior has a white ground in the bottom with a copper luster rim. The bottom tip of the handle has a tiny chip in it as shown in the las...t photograph. Otherwise, the condition of the goblet is essentially pristine. There are no chips, cracks nor wear. There is some slight bleeding of copper glaze into the pink decorative band. The height and diameter are 4" and 3".
