Original Description:
Offering beautiful antique folk art bird sculpture.  The bird is a bit primitive in style, but also has nice modern lines. As such, I'm really not sure the age of this sculpture. I don't believe it could have been made any later than the 1950's, and the character of the wood makes it seem much older than that, so perhaps it's a true antique.
The wood is quite heavy, and has developed a tight split (characteristic of an older piece). Please see images. There are a small green pa...int spot on one side and a few light scuffs. The underside of the tail has beautiful dark grain, but I forgot to photograph that, so it will be a treat for the new owner to see. The wood's patina is quite lovely. This is a really special piece!
Bird measures approximately 10" long x 2.75" wide x 7" tall.
