This is a wonderful set of 12 lovely French pure linen napkins with the initials T M or M T embroidered by hand in the centre of these fabulous napkins. The table cloth has two monograms diagonally opposite each other off centre.
The napkins are huge , please see the dimensions below.As the photo's show on the napkins the monogram T M sits in a central pattern, having been worked in fine threads and still stands very proud of the napkin, these must always be ironed on the revers...e so as not to damage or flatten the monogram in anyway. The monogrammed initial measures 4 cms x 3 cms, two further squares have been decorated with appears to be bunches of grapes.
The fabric is a beautiful soft pure linen with a gorgeous feel to it. As the photos show the pattern is made up of squares of white with bands of summer butter yellow running vertically and horizontally, these bands are edged in a royal blue. To the edge of the napkins and table cloth there is a border of white linen which has a hand sewn petit ladder work hem all around, very pretty.
