ORIGINAL WW2 US ARMY WOMEN'S WAC WAAC COTTON KHAKI SHIRT, NAMED TO WAC, T5 RANK
ORIGINAL WWII SURPLUS CLOTHING, SOLD AS ISThis is an original US Army Women's khaki shirt. There is no Quartermaster tag as this was a private purchase shirt as can be seen by the department store label. It is sized to size 32. The WAC who used this did write her name and serial number just inside the collar (see photo). I found her record online (see last photo). Carol C. R...oth, serial number A-220043, lived in Passaic, New Jersey and enlisted in Newark. She was born in 1909 had 4 years of college. Her know grade was Aviation Cadet and as can be seen on this shirt she achieved Technical 5th grade rank at the very least. I also have the skirt that went with this shirt and will be putting that in another auction. I am including a hard copy of this record with the shirt.
This is in Good used condition. This is wrinkled from storage. I did not see any missing buttons or any damage to the shirt other than typical fading or minor discoloration from age. Has 5th Grade Technical rank patches but no unit patch. I also saw some very minor pin spot stains but this should display very nicely.
