This is a rare 1962 US Army Cooler/Food container in working condition. As with all of these coolers, it is not without its dings, dents, scratches and chips which tell possible tales of what this item saw and for whom it kept food and drinks cool for. The hinges are in good shape and snap nicely, the rubber seal/gasket is slightly mishapen, but it seems to be on tight and still seals properly regardless. I used this once at a picnic and found it to be an extremely effective device at ...keeping my food and drinks cool even in the 100 degree Texas heat. I have thoroughly washed the inside and out with soap and water, so it should be perfectly adequate to use immediately after unboxing.
