We are listing today a lovely Antique 19th century Redware Lead Glaze Yellow Slip Decorated Pennsylvania Loaf Plate or Dish. This plate is in Excellent Condition given it's age with the main issue being wear and loss to the slip glaze, exfoliation and surface chipping mostly at the center area, there is smoothness to the goggled outer perimeter and 1 old tight 100% secure & sound line at the outer rim that extends inward (refer to the last 2 pictures). No other chips, c...racks, and or repairs, very sound plate, you can refer to the pictures we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the overall excellent condition. The plate measures 15 1/2" long x 10 1/8" wide x 2 5/8" tall, the slightly rounded base is 8 3/4" x 5 1/4" and weighs approximately 4lb 8oz. Great extensive hand decorated yellow slip lines throughout, there are remnants of old yellow paint where someone at some point tried coloring in the loss. A glossy lead glaze against a orange to rust red background. A great example of Pennsylvania Redware this Large Loaf Dish would make a great addition to anyone's collection or home.
