This auction is for a really amazing vintage World War II photo album. The original owner was in the VMB-413 Marine Bombing Squadron and he was mostly stationed on Emirau near Papua New Guineau. The album documents life on the island including a lot of large photos of the natives and the surrounding landscape. Then, there are lots of photos of their airplanes and crew including photos of them receiving Anti-Aircraft fire on a missing. There is a patch from the squadron, which I believe is pretty... rare. Just a lot of great history here. Looks like he moved to different islands here and there with the crew. I count a total of about 132 individual pieces - photos and documents. The album measures about 13" x 10.5" and some of the photos are really large. Great piece and guaranteed as described! In great condition!
