This stunning genuine Gunne Sax maxi dress from the 1970s is in amazing condition! No flaws to mention. It is constructed of a semi-sheer poly/cotton voile fabric with a beautiful scattered floral and vine print in shades of dark Mauve, Carnation pink and Green on a soft white background. See close-up of fabric for detail. It has a scooped neckline embellished with a fabulous scalloped edge embroidered floral trim topped with a tiny bow. It also has a fitted natural waist. The bust is ...accented with vertical bands of satin ribbon and lace and has decorative pearlized buttons. The long full sheer ivory colored sleeves are adorned with a lovely lace and satin ribbon trimmed center section and close with a single button at the lace trimmed cuff. The softly gathered maxi length skirt has a wide ruffled hemline accented with more lace and ribbon and has an enormous sweep. Except for the sleeves, the dress is lined with a solid ivory attached acetate "slip". The dress closes via a hidden back zipper and has a self-tie fabric belt to tie in a bow at the back . Colors remain bright. This dress is so feminine and pretty. Great romantic look for a wedding or festival. No-one would ever believe that this dress is over 40 years old. It is a vintage Size 11 which is harder to find in this iconic designer's dresses. However, vintage clothing tends to run quite small so please check the measurements I have provided above to ensure the best fit.
