This is a rare antique Corona 3 folding typewriter in working condition! This is the same model that Ernest Hemingway used! Serial number is 126014, which dates the typewriter between July and December of 1917. (Over 100 years old!) It comes in the original case that has some wear on it. The typewriter properly folds into the case with ease.
The paper does not feed smoothly as you turn the platen knob. If you flip the feed roller release lever and give a little hel...p it will feed, no problem. Really, this is a negligible issue. Only mentioned for full disclosure. All keys type and report to their positions without issue. No sticky or stuck keys. Carriage moves smoothly as you type. The carriage folds into place no problem.
This Corona 3 is a one of a kind and very sought after piece in this condition. This typewriter would make an excellent gift or addition to one collection. Ribbon is old and should be replaced if you are choosing to use the typewriter regularly.
