Here is an original speedometer drive unit. Most likely for a motorcycle. As I measure the I.D. of the frame mounting bracket, I believe it would work best for a 7/8" tube. (.875") As you can see there is corrosion pitting on the metal surfaces, and appears to still be some nickel plating and old green paint. The wheel, drive shaft and internal bevel gears are together and functioning. The threads for the cable attachment are in good condition. I would gue...ss this is an early version as there is no grease zerk fitting on the angle drive unit like some of the later models.
