These are really the Holy Grail if you are a Delft Collector. Hand Painted with the old Royal Delft Mark artist signed both are numbered XII of 25 made around AW=1927-AX=1928 in their original Oak frames. Beautifully executed and wonderful bright coloration. Original partial paper label "New Church" which after I took the pictures I clear taped... on the back to keep it from being destroyed or simply falling off after all these years.
I could only find one for sale and none that have sold as they seldom come up for sale. The one listed is a Gallery in Amsterdam called Galleria D'Arte Rinascimento for 2, 268.00 Euro or 2, 585.00 US Dollars. The last auction record for the Canal scene I could find was in 2015 that sold at auction for 1, 900.00 Euros.
Approx Size 9 1/4 X 11 1/4
No damage issues; some typical crazing to the gaze but NO cracks, chips or dings and no fading in Time capsule condition.
I am selling them as a pair as they have been friends and together for so long. ( I would split them up I suppose with a compelling reason to do so....)
The buy it now price is for BOTH Tiles. These will be bulletproof packaged to assure they arrive safely.
Please look at the pictures as they ARE of the items you will receive.
