These vintage/antique chairs are really beautiful! (This one is in amazing condition!) The word Obi is used to describe the silk belt that holds together a kimono or yukata (traditional Japanese attire).Japanese Obi chairs are made from the same silk.Condition
The material is white with small delicate gold flowers woven into the silk. Both pieces have the same design.Both chair and matching footstool have wooden scroll-like legs. The chair has brass tacks all ar...ound the edge of the wood.The chair comes with a custom made, heavy-duty, plastic, fitted protective cover that snaps on the sideThis chair and footstool set are from the 1940's-1950's.
