Vintage Nancy Ann Storybook strung MUFFIE In a NASB Unidentified dress. She comes in a blue dot box marked 500 Honey Pigtails. Estate find! This Muffie doll is a strung hard plastic doll with open/close brown eyes (may need help by tapping) with painted lashes and NO eyebrows. She is marked on her back with NASB brand. (See photo). She looks to have been displayed. The previous owner had this doll’s dress as a 1953 #510 Nursery Style yellow floral print organdy. But when I looked at ...that dress in my Muffie book, it doesn’t match. So I looked and looked and could not find any reference to this dress. If you look at the construction of the dress, it is made in the same fashion as the 1953 dresses, small brass snap closure and nice organdy sewn in slip. The dress still feels crisp like the original sizing is there in both dress and slip. There are no issues with this dress at all. I’m not sure if it may be a little faded or not, but it does not appear to be faded to me. Doll wears yellow rayon socks and white center tie shoes. She holds poses very well and will sit and stand if positioned carefully but I recommend using the doll stand she will come with. Her face colors are just beautiful! Nice even flesh tone. Her eyes are very pretty. Her blonde hair is styled in loose pigtails tied with yellow ribbon. Her tails have a nice curl and are not braided. (The way she came to me). This Muffie is just adorable! Since this was an estate sale find of a long time doll collector, she has been in storage for many years. But, she has no bad or foul odors. She will be sent safely packed along with a doll stand and her box. Insurance is included.
