Marantz 2238B Vintage Stereo Receiver - - - Black Face

This is a unique version of the vintage Marantz 2238B receiver/amplifier.  Not only is it in excellent condition all the way around, but it has an unusual black face plate. Reproduction of all sources is superb.  As a matter of fact it likely will provide sounds that you might not have ever heard before from your selections at a reasonable cost.  The unit is fairly small (17"W  x 14"D  x 5 3/8" H) and weighs in at 27lbs.  All black metal (no plastic) cabin...et and face, with white labeling.  Four polished silver metal feet with rubber on the bottom---raises the unit about 1/2'. Delivers 38/48 watts subject to the impedance (Ohms) of your speakers.Will reproduce sound from internal radio, both AM and FM with inboard antennas (better with your own external antennas), outboard tuners, CD players, turntables, recording and playback devices, computers. etc.  All connections you'll need are on the rear apron. It's very quiet and generates very little in the way of heat.  Lighting, all working, is blue LED's with a soft glow.  Two meters, one for signal strength and the other for fine tuning of Stereo.  The Stereo and Pointer lamps are both red. All switches and knows are original and work perfectly and the Gyro-Touch tuning is very smooth. No scratches.  Types of components within the unit appear consistent throughout.
Included is a clean and clear original of the Service Manual in like new condition, as well an excellent copy of the Handbook of Instruction, spiral bound.  Included will be original marketing and specification material.
Produced around 1977 during the Golden Era of stereo equipment.  Produces very enjoyable listening whether you like it loud or soft.  All labels and marking still clear and in place.
