1). Unusual sword from Bissau. Measures 29” in total length and features a very unusually shaped blade. The handle is wood with lovely old patina, split completely through on one side. The tang probably rusted and swollen which caused the wood to split. A sign of age. Probably a 19th century piece. Even though the handle is split it is not loose and you can still h...old the sword. The word Bissau has been written on the handle. The scabbard is leather with some hair remaining on one both sides probably about 30-40% remaining. The scabbard shape matches the unusual shape of the blade. The blade is slightly curved but has a skinny long extension at the tip. Some red rust on the blade but should clean up nicely.
2). A nice African Tikar sword. The handle is wood with a few chips and nice wear and patina. The blade is very nice. Lovely shape to it and the very tip of the blade with double curly Q’s. The blade has extensive decoration to both sides. A solid blade and a good fighting piece overall. Measures 21” overall.
3). A fang dagger or short sword most probably made for a child. Nice old wood handle with lovely patina. The short blade which measures 10 1/2” long has some nice decoration at the forte and still retains a good age. The scabbard is falling apart but still present. Covered in lizard skin which is wrinkled to the front and mostly missing on the back. The wood interior is busted up and falling apart. Still, a rare item as you don’t see fang swords of this size hence probably made for a child.
