Original Description:
Up for auction is a duck call made by the late F.B. Withers, Lonoke, Arkansas (1882-1976). This call has the earlier 2nd Street label and is in excellent condition for its age. Withers began making calls in the 40s. I’m not sure what wood was used for this call, but I’ve tried to include various angles to show the different grain lines. Overall, it’s a great call. See pages 249-254 of Calling the Wild by Mike Lewis for more information on the life of Withers and the history of hi...s calls. Not many were made, which makes them highly collectible.
