Up for auction is a rare dug Western Military Institute Coat Button, 19 mm in diameter.  "W.H. HORSTMANN & Co N. YORK" bm. Fantastic condition with gold plating. The Kentucky Military Institute moved from Drennon Springs Kentucky to Nashville TN. in 1855 and most of their cadets joined the Confederacy. Verbal provenance of a Confederate Camp in Tennessee. Originally purchased from Allen Gaskins of North Carolina Civil War Relics who is a reputable dealer. Button will be shippe...d in a nice button case and will be packed carefully.
