Mens Vintage Waltham Chronograph Valjoux 7733 Swiss Made 17 Jewels Wristwatch
Item History & Price
Functionally, this particular watch is current...ly keeping good time and the seconds hand (left subdial) is currently ticking away strongly and functioning just fine, as best I can tell. However, with regards to the "stopwatch hand, " or "chronograph" feature of the watch, I am unable to get that particular hand to tick. I believe that it should be operated by one of the "pusher" buttons on the right side of the watch, but when I press these buttons, that particular hand does not tick. I am unaware of how to get the hand in the middle of the second sub-dial on the right to tick. When I press each of the pusher buttons, nothing happens. So, to make things totally clear, the watch IS indeed keeping good time and the sub-dial on the left hand side portion of the watch is currently ticking, but, as far as I can tell, the "chronograph/stopwatch" hand as well as the seconds hand on the sub-dial on the right side portion of the watch are not currently working properly. This might require just a simple adjustment to the watch by someone who is greatly knowledgeable with regards to mechanical watches, or it could possibly require something that is more complex. I have no way of knowing, unfortunately. Also, this watch is 17 jewels, and of course, was manufactured in Switzerland.
Cosmetically, this watch is in very, very good cosmetic condition, especially considering its age, in my opinion. It is very clean and shiny and lovely in appearance. PLEASE, however, refer to the photos for a more comprehensive understanding of the specific cosmetic condition of the watch. The PHOTOS can best describe and reveal to you the specific cosmetic condition of the watch, and can do so far better than any words possibly can. Thank You.
I would like to most sincerely thank all the individuals who participate in the auction and make bids on the watch. Please know that I do indeed appreciate it.
***On the night that this particular auction ends, I will be out of town, and will have to remain out of town with family members for roughly 4-6 days. As soon as I arrive home and am able to, I will very carefully and delicately package the watch, and ship it to the winning bidder as soon as I possibly can. Please understand that following the conclusion of the auction, it will be roughly a week, or perhaps a bit less, before I will be able to ship the watch to you. I am listing the handling time as "10 days, " because I am now allowed the option of listing the handling time as six days, but please be aware that the actual handling time will be quite less than ten days and will be shipped to you well before ten days have elapsed at the conclusion of the auction. The package will be shipped with insurance. Thank you most sincerely for understanding.
