Antique ORIG OIL PAINTING on Canvas SEASCAPE Ocean Water Waves in DEEP Dish GOLD FRAME. This is from the estate of a prominent RI family (Herbert Tanner; patriarch who served in the Civil War and Indian Wars and grandson (namesake) served in WWII and ascended to the rank of Brigadier General; the family owned a well-established jewelry manufacturing company in RI.) ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING on Canvas SEASCAPE with Ocean / Water / Waves / Nautical. A fabulous seaside scene! FRAMED in ...Antique, Ornate, gold real wood & Gesso frame. This is a beautiful painting! Not sure if I see a signature (illegible) in the bottom right (see photos), but was created by an artist of great skill, ... not by your amateur Sunday painter! Wonderful techniques capture the reflections, translucent quality, movement and power of the ocean! It is in excellent condition! No flaking paint, no chips, no damage, but the painting does have a professional repair (see photos; which is not uncommon for antique paintings), it is undetectable on the front (the restorer was fantastic!) and the painting displays beautifully. By the patina of the painting, I would estimate it to be from circa 1920-1920s. Size overall is 25" long and 19" high.
