Item History & Price
Very unusual and hard to find.*The lovely (antique) lady of the estate informed me that it's a fish bowl stand. Per measurements it will fit a 2 gallon fish bowl.Could be used as a plant stand. Could hold a lovely salad bowl for an eclectic dining accessory! Great small terrarium stand! Lots of cute ways to use this.34-1/2" tall. 11" diameter top, almost 16" diameter base.
Features Art Deco styling ...with Victorian castings. Heavy cast iron rope design legs and ornate upper and lower castings.Beautiful swirled acorn style accents top each leg. Ornate cast Swags are loop attached and adjust to various pots or bowls. Look to be made of a different metal mix, but are magnetic like iron.Nice iron tassel below the top platform.Original dark brown / bronze color finish. Some finish scuffs/loss.
In very nice original condition. No cracks in the iron. Very solid and sturdy. This is a real unusual stand. Made in a time when a gold fish bowl was a sign of wealth and was the entertainment of the day.
