Original Description:
This vintage nesting mixing bowl set was handed down to me and has been on display (unused) in my kitchen cabinet for over 20 years now. This is one of the oldest sets of the Pyrex Glass Primary Colors Mixing Bowls that was manufactured in the 1940’s.There is no number on the bottom of them. Each is marked on the base with "T.M. REG” arched above, “PYREX" across the middle, and “U.S. PAT. OFF.” arched across the bottom. These are THICK bowls, measuring more tha...n ¼” thick, and they’re heavy!
They all have their brilliant original color on the outside, and the inside of each one is flawless and shines like a pearl. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The smallest (1 pint) bowl measures 5 ½ inches in diameter. It is a beautiful BLUE that is in near perfect condition.
The next largest (1-1/4 quart) bowl measures 7 inches in diameter. It is RED and has the normal vintage wear expected with age and usage.
The next largest (2-½ quart) is GREEN and measures 8 ½ inches in diameter. It has very minimal scuffs that are not noticeable and is in excellent vintage condition.
The largest bowl is YELLOW. It holds 4 quarts and measures 10 inches in diameter. This bowl was obviously used more (lots of cake and cookie dough mixed in this one!) and, it being a lighter color, shows more scuffs to the outside which is to be expected with it’s usage and age.  This beautiful vintage set is a MUST HAVE for your kitchen!
