The carrying case has a few scuffs or scratches.This comes with a padded carrying case with three latches that reminds me of a musical instrumen...t case from when I was in band 40+ years ago. Each of the five different power lenses are kept safe by threading them into a special holder. With the included tripod this makes a great spotting scope for the range, bird watching, or introducing the kids to astronomy.I took a couple of screen-shots from the web of the specs, as no owner's manual is included.
