Vintage 1930s Ideal 16" Composition Shirley Temple Doll in Tagged Jumpsuit.Really cute Nineteen-thirties Ideal Shirley Temple doll wearing a tagged blue floral jumpsuit. The jumpsuits or play suits were offered as part of the Ideal Shirley Temple trunk set. Shirley is 16" tall, all composition and jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She is strung moderately tightly so she can hold a pose. She has renewed, working sleep eyes with thick lashes, nice painted lo...wer lashes, multi-stroke eyebrows, upper eye lid line and lightly blushed cheeks and body. She has an open mouth showing her upper teeth and dimples in her cheeks. Blond mohair wig in the original factory set on her head. Her costume includes the tagged blue floral print play suit, original Shirley pin on her chest, vintage hair ribbon, original vintage socks and center snap oilcloth shoes - all in good clean condition. She is marked SHIRLEY TEMPLE 16 on her back and on the back of her head.MEASUREMENTS: 16" tall.MARK: SHIRLEY TEMPLE 16 on her back and on the back of her head. She will ship Parcel Select or Priority Mail wrapped in tissue and bubble wrap at about 1 1/2 lbs. CONDITIONGood, lightly played with condition. Has renewed, working sleep eyes with full brush lashes. Nicely painted original facial features. Wig is thick, in the original set but a little messy. Nearly perfect fingers with a few tiny chips - excellent toes. Skin tone is even with light play or display soil everywhere except her torso and her feet. Has light crazing all over, especially on one arm and the side of one foot. only a very few tiny chips, no lifting or flaking paint. She has approx. a 1/2 inch crack on the back of her head and one on the side of her head. Both look fairly tight. She has very light paint wear to all joints. She is strung fairly tight and can hold a pose. Jumpsuit is original, tagged, clean and in excellent condition. The ribbon ties on the shoulders provide all closure. They are silk, fragile but all in tack and free of tears. She does not have underwear. Shoes and socks appear to be very good condition and original to the 16" size doll. Center snaps are in tack and soles of shoes are both complete. Socks have turned darker from age but are free of holes or rips. I think when I just took her shoes and socks off for her pics - it was the first time they were ever removed. Shirley's pin is vintage 1930's. Hair ribbon is a vintage replacement - but looks cute on her. She has her original blue hair ribbon in her hair underneath. No unpleasant odor.
