This is a vintage Chinese nudemedical doll and stand made from early plastic or bakelite. It was made by the Schering pharmaceutical company. It measures 7 inches and comes with its own molded plastic stand—- it is a rare piece. These reclining nude female figures were used by Chinese doctors because they could not examine female patients. The women used to point to the section of the body that needed medical attention and healing this is an excellent antique condition. The Schering ...company started in Germany in the 1860s. This piece was probably made in the 1920’s.
