Vintage/Antique Embroidered Silk Piano Shawl - Ivory on Ivory Double Knotted
This gorgeous vintage piano shawl measures approximately 44" Square + an 8" Fringe all around (total from fringe end to fringe end is 44" + 16 = 60" total). Between the 8" length fringe there is a second fringe that is approximately 3-1/2" long (please see photos).
It is beautifully embroidered with flowers. Very silky feeling, however I am not sure if it is truly silk or some sort of rayon... blend. I believe it is from the 1920s. The fabric is strong. I purchased it at an estate sale in Springfield IL.
Condition: The condition is fair. There are no holes, tears, rips, etc. but there are many stains. I have tried to photo the stains so please look closely at the photos, The shawl needs to be cleaned by a professional. I did not attempt cleaning and will leave that up to the buyer. Otherwise, the shawl is in good condition.
