VINTAGE SAURA HB-65G GOLD SPECIAL HAND BEARING COMPASS w/ OAK CASE. This item was made by SAURA MARINE INSTRUMENTS CO. LTD. ESTABLISHED 1916. I found this at a local estate sale. This item is offered for sale as found and can use a cleaning. This vintage instrument is in nice condition. The compass works as it should. The glass and the magnifying glass are in good condition with no scratches. It looks like a battery may have leaked in the battery compartment at some time.(I tried to sh...ow this in the photo). The light worked when tested, but the contacts do need to be cleaned better. There are no issues with the oak box. The box could be polished up if you desire.
