You are viewing a hand made vintage wedding gown from a bride's big day on October 12, 1946. WW II had just ended and GI's were coming home and marrying their brides! The gown is made of satin and in very good condition, considering it's age. There are a few holes in the mesh surrounding the neckline, however no tears, or rips elsewhere and no stains that I noticed. The veil is also in excellent condition with a few small holes and a tiny mend or two, and one spot of ...discoloration. The headpiece is the classic style of the 1940s- just beautiful! The back is adorned with covered buttons and none are missing! Please examine photos carefully, as they are part of the description. Bid with confidence. BONUS: Included is the original ribbon used on the brides wedding bouquet with a hand written note about the date- so wonderfully sentimental.
Measurements: veil: 10' x 5' gown: 26" waist, 14" shoulder to shoulder, 72" from the waist to end of train.
