WOW! A Set of 2 Vintage Framed MCM Retro Mexican Straw Mosaic Art pieces. The frames are carved wood with a reddish orange velvet matte between the frame and the art. Both straw-works are behind glass. These pieces appear to be a complimentary matched set. The colors in the tiny straws are still vivid and vibrant. The art appears to be somewhat stylized, possibly from the 1960's. Whoever the artist was, their work is impeccable. I viewed some other pieces similar to these, but none of ...them were so well done. The teeny straws were arranged and placed by someone who really knew what they were doing. The frames are in nice condition, but could use some cleaning. The velvet mattes are in nice condition. There is one "ding" in the velvet to the right of one of the art pieces (close up in picture #6). Please also note some slight loss of gold in that same photo. Overall this set is spectacular and would look awesome with your mid-century decor! Each piece measures roughly 12"x10" which includes the frame.
