Beautiful restored pair vintage acoustic research AR4x speakers. These are ready to be enjoyed with no surprises. As a veteran AR enthusiast, these were completely electronically restored, guaranteeing perfect sound and and great presentability. The restoration includes:✔️New film capacitors in the crossover, no expense spared here✔️Restored tweeters, realigning and renewing the adhesive on the cone✔️ Restored woofers, utilizing the proprietary formula for sealing the surro...unds, as used by our friends at Vintage AR✔️Restored cabinetry, lightly sanded and re-oiled, and sealed with beeswax. Retains the gorgeous original veneer, while displaying some signs of use as shown in the pictures. This finish is far from perfect, but displays extremely well and cleanly✔️ restored grill cloth, using the acceptable replacement 18 count lambswool linen, Perfect match for the original.
As you could see in the pictures, the one speaker backs could’ve had the back wet at some point, but I have successfully sealed and preserved in the cabinet. All of the drivers are original and in excellent condition, producing superb sounds that I will stand behind and guarantee not to disappoint.
