Up for sale is a very nice first version of the Leitz 90mm f/4 "Fat" Elmar lens from 1932 (#122950), with a bakelite front cap and aftermarket rear cap. The black paint finish is very nice and smooth with only very slight scuffs and or marks consistent with its age. The focusing barrel has moderate brassing. The nickel areas have only very minor marks. The aperture blades move freely (only minor resistance when stopping all the way down) with no traces of oil that I can detect.
The ...glass elements have minor cleaning marks and interior dust, but otherwise clear and no evidence of fungus; I have used this lens and don't notice any image degradation. Focusing is smooth throughout, but is slightly stiff.
