This "B. James & Son, Richard Walker Mk IV" rodmeasures approximately 10 foot, (including the handle ) in overall length. The fittings and reel ring to the butt section are in alloy. The rings are well attached and the top and bottom rings are agate lined . It has a suction joint which is a good snug fit and it has retained much of its' original finish. The close burgundy coloured whipping is in good order and the rod appears to be straight.There is no damage to the cork handle.Just a...bove the handle the rod has "B. James & Sons, England, Richard Walker, S/U, Mk. IV".It has its' ferrule stopper and makers bag. This rod feels lovely when held, well balanced, and sturdy. Vintage ~ "B.
